C&K Industry's commitment and focus is on meeting the needs of customer through continuous improvement activities. We help to provide the right solutions for the tough and immediate issues.

Example: Industrial Vacuuming

Challenge: The plant operation was losing valuable production capacity to support its customer demand. This lost capacity equated to roughly $8mm in annual sales revenue and the ability to meet the expected delivery requirements.

Root Cause: The customer was required to shut sown for a full 24 hours on a weekly basis to clean its exhaust systems.

Solution: The customer called on C&K and asked for assistance in trying to generate a solution to this issue. Working closely with the customer's engineering, maintenance and production departments, it was determined that through simple monitoring, the exhaust cleaning could be reduced to every other week, and completed in an 8 hour time frame.

Result: The Company now has the additional required capacity

Example: Water Blasting

Challenge: The National Park Service needed to construct concrete caissons for a nature trail. Using conventional machinery would have potentially damaged the park ecosystem (e.g. Backhoes-Drilling Rigs-Dozers-etc.)

Root Cause: Because of the location to the proposed nature trail, it would have been extremely risky to try and move drilling rigs and excavating equipment in the area.

Solution: C&K was called on to to use their ultra-high pressure water blast equipment to handle the job.

Result:
The customer saved significant time, and most importantly, completed the job without harming the environment.

Example: Water Blasting

Challenge: A chemical plant customer needed to install a massive mixing tank into its facility while minimizing downtime.

Root Cause: Because of the mixing tank's massive size, it would require the moving of equipment and product to install. This process was estimated to take upwards of 3 weeks.

Solution: C&K was able to use its ultra-high pressure water blast equipment to precisely cut a hole into the second floor and hoist the tank in without interrupting production.

Result: The entire process took 1 week with production running; as opposed to shutting down production for a minimum of 3 weeks.

Example: Specialized Site Service

Challenge: A customer had tooling that was stored off site for several years and was believed to have been contaminated. They needed to have the tooling inspected, cleaned and relocated to a new storage facility.

Root Cause: The initial investigation had shown that the process would cost the company approximately $2mm.

Solution: C&K took the lead to help streamline the process and still meet all EPA requirements.

Result: C&K saved the customer approximately $1mm dollars over their original projections.

Example: Pipeline Inspection Services

Challenge:
Dangerous flooding continually occurred on a major highway during heavy rain storms. The client thought that just a routine sewer cleaning would be required.

Root Cause: The problem turned out to be more significant in that the 48" sewer lines were 80% blocked with hardened concrete.

Solution: C&K utilized its specialty sewer cleaning equipment to remove the obstructions. The process was accomplished by using existing accesses with no additional digging equipments.

Result: C&K utilized its specialty sewer cleaning equipment to remove the obstructions. The process was accomplished by using existing accesses with no additional digging requirements. The blockage was removed and 100% capacity was restored without interrupting traffic.
